This project involves the restyling of the visual identity and wayfinding system for MUMEC, the Museum of Communication in Arezzo. The museum holds a unique and rich collection that traces the history of communication tools from the 17th century to today.
Although MUMEC has a strong cultural and educational mission, its visual identity and visitor guidance system were outdated and not consistent. The goal of the project was to make the museum more recognizable and easier to explore, improving the overall visitor experience.
The new design uses clean, modern shapes inspired by the idea of communication and its constant evolution.
The updated wayfinding system helps visitors move through the museum more easily, making the space more welcoming
and accessible.
This work shows how visual identity and wayfinding can become strategic tools to support a museum’s mission,
highlight its uniqueness, and create a stronger connection with its audience.
